If you are visiting our Club as a guest, we welcome you.  The following policies will be helpful to you during your visit.  They are intended to ensure that all our members and their guests have a pleasant atmosphere in which to enjoy the Club's course, facilities & services.  We are confident you will have a wonderful experience.


GOLF 

BAG DROP 

 As you enter our Club, proceed past the Clubhouse to our outside services manager, who will greet you, take your bag and direct you to the locker room.  Please note that members and guests are not permitted to change shoes or clothes in the parking lot.  Both men's and ladies' locker rooms are available. 

GOLF DRESS CODE    

Men
Bottoms: No cargo shorts or pants are allowed.  Golf pant and shorts only.
Tops:  All shirts must be tucked in at all times.  Shirts must have collars or mock design.  Sweaters and golf outerwear are acceptable at all times. Golf specific outerwear with hoods are acceptable.
Footwear intended for golf.
Headwear:  All hats must be worn forward at all times.
Women
Bottoms: Golf pants, skirts, skorts or shorts.
Tops: Shirts may be worn untucked if designed to do so.  Shirts without sleeves must have a collar.  Shirts with sleeves may be worn without a collar. Golf specific outerwear with hoods are acceptable.
Footwear intended for golf. 
Headwear:  All hats must be worn forward at all times.

RANGE POLICY   

No member or guest may hit balls over the net on the Practice Range.  Any member or guest caught doing so will have their range privileges revoked for the season.

PACE OF PLAY

18 Hole Rounds must be played in 4 hours. Groups who have 1 hole open in front of them are deemed out of position and will receive a warning. 

ETIQUETTE   

Members and their guests are required to act in a manner that is respectable to all other members, guests and staff, including children.  Loud, unruly, disruptive behavior and language will not be tolerated.

MOBILE DEVICES   

The Deal Golf & Country Club policy prohibits talking on mobile devices on the golf course, at the Halfway House and in the Clubhouse, with the following exceptions: Locker Rooms & Parking Lot.  Exception permits the use of mobile devices on the golf course in cases of medical necessity only when someone on the golf course needs immediate medical care and for the purpose of notifying the Golf Shop of a problem concerning slow play. Cell phones should be placed in vibrate mode. Using your cell phone on the golf course for certain purposes is acceptable (e.g. texting, email or determining yardage) as long as such usage does not cause any noise. The primary consideration should be to avoid any cell phone activity that might create noise, distract a player or slow down play.


DINING AND SPECIAL EVENTS 

Casual attire is acceptable in all dining areas of the Club, with the exception of the Main Dining Room, which requires jacket and tie.  Please consult with the member who will be hosting you to discuss what area of the Club you will be dining.  If you will be attending a special or private event at the Club, please consult with your host regarding dress code specific to the event.

CASUAL DINING DRESS CODE

Men

Slacks, collared shirts, sweaters, turtleneck or mock turtleneck, tucked in, and Camp shirts (Tommy Bahama or Hawaiian-sytle).  Khakis, slacks or golf shorts.

Women

Blouse, turtleneck, sweater, or similar top. Casual pants, slacks, golf pants, skorts or skirt with appropriate top.

Hats should be removed while in the Men's Grill, Mixed Grill, Clubhouse, Fairway Room, and Lounge.

Blue jeans and denim outfits from April 1st through October 31st (any kind, color, style, or finish), sweatshirts, sweatpants, cargo pants or shorts, short shorts, tennis or beach attire, tee shirts of any kind, tank tops, halter tops, elastic leggings (Spandex), and headwear worn backwards.   

SMOKING POLICY

In accordance with the New Jersey Smoke-Free Air Act, Deal Golf & Country Club conforms to the State mandated smoking ban for all places of public accommodation, which includes our Club. This law applies to all buildings on our property, including the Clubhouse; Men’s Grill Room, Locker Rooms, Dining Rooms, Patio, Lounge, Lobby, as well as the Pro Shop, Halfway House and Maintenance Facility. Smoking will be permitted on the Golf Course, Practice Range, Driving Range, Front Porch and Parking Lot.
